Civil Engineering Applications of Remote Sensing and Geographic Information Systems, proceedings

These papers cover a wide variety of applications in the areas of site selection, environmental impact assessment, facilities management, water resources, and transportation engineering. Four papers concentrate on the use of aerial remote sensing techniques in civil engineering. Another series of eight papers describes water resources applications of geographic information systems while three papers describe US Army Corps of Engineers applications of geographic information systems. In addition, several papers describe the characteristics and capabilities of geographic information systems. Thus, the civil engineer is presented with a comprehensive look at the various usages of remote sensing and geographic information systems.
