Structurally viscous, aqueous powder dispersions that are devoid of organic solvents, method for producing them and their use

2006
The invention relates to structurally viscous, aqueous powder dispersions that are substantially or entirely devoid of organic solvents, and that contain, in an aqueous phase (B), as a disperse phase (A), solid and/or highly viscous particles (A) that are dimensionally stable under the conditions of storage and use, said particles having an average particle size, measured by laser diffraction, of D (v, 0.5) = 1 to 10 µm, the dimensionally stable particles (A) comprising at least one solvent-depleted, reactive, water-insoluble, etherified melamine formaldehyde resin (A1). The invention also relates to a method for producing the inventive dispersions and to their use.
