Recurrent neurofibroma in the head and neck.
2007
: We report a case of recurrent neurofibroma. First time, the patient presented with neck mass at the age of 7 years in 1986. After excision, the growth was reported to be neurofibroma. The growth recurred in the head and neck region at different sites 10 times and symptoms demanded excision every time. After second excision, the patient also received radiation. Each time the histopathology of the specimen revealed the growth to be neurofibroma. No malignant change was found in any of the specimen. The last excision was performed in March 2002 and until now, the patient is disease-free and has no recurrence.
