The Principle and Adjustment of the Hilger-Müller Double Monochromator
1951
A mathematical treatment of the principle of the Hilger-Muller double monochromator is offered. On this basis, a sequence of adjustments is deduced for achieving correct focus. With the aid of a figure defining the symbols used, it should be possible to focus the instrument without appreciating the mathematical conceptions involved.
