D2D Network Coverage Analysis Based on Cluster User Equipment Classification and Spectrum Sharing Allocation

2020
For D2D communication network, the existing researches mainly focus on improving the network throughput and energy efficiency. However, few researches are done on the coverage performance in the D2D communication network. Therefore, this paper constructs a multiple input multiple output enabled multi-tier D2D hybrid heterogeneous network based on cluster user equipment (UE) classification and spectrum sharing allocation. According to UEs classification criteria, UEs are divided into different types of cluster center and cluster edge UEs. In addition, the signal to interference plus noise ratio is utilized to simulate the distribution of active D2D transmitter (D2D-Tx), and the statistical description of the interference is obtained at cluster center and cluster edge D2D receiver (D2D-Rx). Then, the mathematical expression of D2D network coverage probability is derived. Simulation and numerical results show that the D2D network coverage probability increases as the transmit power of pico-base station (PBS) decreases. Meanwhile, the influence of the coverage radius of PBS and D2D-Tx on the coverage probability of the D2D network is also given.
