DEVELOPMENT OF THE REMOTE-CONTROL SYSTEM FOR MELTING SNOW FACILITY USING RADIO PACKET COMMUNICATION

2002
This paper discusses how the Ishikawa Prefecture developed a remote control system for melting snow using radio packet communication. The benefits include the fact that the telephone circuit equipment is not needed for mobile communications, the charge per packet is cheaper than other systems; and the ability to use a dedicated line is preferable when other communication systems are being used.
