To Issue of Dynamics of Solid Body in Gravitational Field of the Earth

2021
The analysis and theoretical studies of the steady motion of a rigid body in the gravitational field of the Earth under the influence of the lines of force of a homogeneous potential field, inertia forces and external forces depending on the initial conditions of the motion of a solid body were made. This analysis is based on the balance of power sources of energy of these forces and Newton’s laws. Theoretical studies of the dynamics of a rigid body in the gravitational field of the Earth are based on the principles of applied mechanics as a section of classical mechanics. The authors consider the condition of uniform motion of a solid body (artificial satellite) in a geostationary orbit in the absence of atmospheric resistance and under conditions when the atmosphere resists the satellite’s motion depending on its speed of motion. A mechanical model of motion of the satellite-wheel and a geostationary satellite motion model were developed, taking into account the characteristic features of the interaction of the volume forces of the gravitational field of the Earth and the forces of inertia. The calculation formulas are obtained for determining the approximate power of thrust, which provides the steady motion of the satellite in a geostationary orbit. The obtained calculated values of the power of the thrust do not contradict the values of the power of the thrust for motion of one of the satellites in the geostationary orbit, given in the articles.
