Emergency care and first aid of invertebrates

Invertebrate medicine has been overshadowed in the past by work and research in vertebrates. It is now becoming of greater importance to understand invertebrate disease, since more animals are kept within captivity and species such as the honey bee, with a commercial importance to the UK industry, are now in decline. This article describes emergency and first aid procedures for some of the more common injuries in invertebrates.
