Nicanor Parra y la política (1954-2006)

Primero se aborda el acercamiento de su escritura al habla popular, asi como sus rasgos dramaticos, junto con sopesar su acercamiento a la izquierda durante los anos 60. A partir de su conflicto con la izquierda en 1970 (Cuba y Allende), Parra toma una distancia critica e ironica, lo que le permite, con Artefactos (1972), dar figura a las tensiones politicas de esa epoca. Por ultimo, se postula a que, a partir de 1973 y en la postdictadura, su obra se desfigura y muestra una vuelta a un yo tradicional, al tiempo que expande elementos del humor y el uso de lemas ecologicos. EnglishThis paper reviews the different moments and records of the relationship between literature and politics in the poetry of Nicanor Parra. It first deals with the proximity of his writing to popular speech and his dramatic features. After his falling out with the left in 1970 (Cuba and Allende), Parra takes a critical and ironic stance which enables him, in Artefactos (Artifacts - 1972), to portray the political tensions of that era. Finally, it analyzes how, after 1973 and in the post-dictatorship period, his work becomes disfigured, revealing a return to a traditional self while expanding elements of humor and the use of ecological slogans.
