First Launch of 2.0l I4 Engine with UpValve VVA System

Since 2010 Pierburg has been involved in development, application and production of mechanical, fully variable valve actuation (VVA) systems. UpValve, UniValve und FlexValve are recognized upgrades for SI- as well as for Diesel engines. This paper reports on the first launch of a gasoline engine with the UpValve VVA System on the intake side.
