First total synthesis of (±)-AM6898D and its three diastereoisomers by Claisen rearrangement and stereoselective epimerization

Abstract An effective method for the synthesis of (±)-AM6898D and its three diastereoisomers has been established via Claisen rearrangement, stereoselective epimerization of the α-ester stereochemistry and introduction of one isoprene unit by umpolung.
