Methodological procedure of case studies in social sciences

Author wrote on methodic-methodological procedure within a case study in the research of social phenomena, processes and achievements in the field of social sciences, above all in business economy, sociology, marketing research, politicology, law, etc. In the paper the author firstly presented significance of empirical research for comprehension of economic, legal, political and other phenomena in contemporary society, along with significance of narrow-type research of certain models and types of the case study (f. e. the research of a separate content, the research of a whole line of cases and the research of a mosaic of cases. ) In the paper there are analyzed also other classifications of the case-study in accord with a) the range of the phenomena (micro-macro case study), b) the time of happening (past, current and future cases), c) entity of the study (the study of one or more features or a whole (full) case-study), etc. Also some other types of the case study are elaborated, such as interpretative and theoretical case studies as well as the studies which produce a basic premise of the research and confirm or question some already existing theory, or some deviant case-studies. The author described significance of some case-study in applied research while paying special attention to the field of business economy or marketing research and some other fields such as pedagogy, politicology and psychology, in that way encompassing all segments of the envisioned draft of the research on this subject. In line with it, the author described possibility of practical implementation of this method in contemporary science, in particular in case of implementation of quantitative methods or contemporary informative technologies and devices in empirical research.
