Carcinogenicity of pronamide

1980
Abstract There has been one mouse and one rat study on the carcinogenicity and one dog study on the toxicity of the pesticide pronamide. Pronamide was carcinogenic for the liver of male mice. In addition, male mice developed severe diffuse hyperplasia and cholestasis of the liver, the latter an extremely rare lesion in the rodent liver. The pronamide rat and dog studies were unsatisfactory carcinogenicity studies.
