Applying Extension Semantic Web to Event Representation for Software-Defined Networking

2020
As a new solution for the development of next generation Internet, Software-Defined Networking (SDN) is currently a very popular network technology. Its own management is then an important issue, which has become a research difficulty nowadays. With the continuous development of SDN, the traditional network will coexist with SDN for a long time in the future. Under this background, SDN network management shows the trend of integration. This paper focuses on the event representation issues for SDN and tries to apply extension Semantic Web to event representation for SDN, in order to solve the diversity problem of management event descriptions in the integration context of SDN management and traditional network management. By constructing a basic extension Semantic Web and utilizing the extension analysis principles for the case of unified event representation, the proposed approach prospects a formal solution to event representation for SDN.
