ROOF AND ROOFING

PURPOSE:To structure a roofing material so that its eaves side is never rolled up by air pressure, and lay the roof materials from the ridge side to the eaves side to construct a roof. CONSTITUTION:In a roof structure in which a furring member 8 is fixed onto a bed 3, and a roofing material 9 is arranged on the furring member 8, the furring member 8 has a fixed parts 10, 11 placeable on the bed 3: a support part 12 on the upper surface; and a protruding insert part 14 from the support part to the ridge side. The roofing material 9 has a part 16 to be held having an insert hole 17 corresponding to the insert part 14 on the eaves side reverse surface. The eaves side reverse surface is supported by the support part 12 through the ridge side end part of a lower stage roof material superposed on the eaves side end part, and the insert part 14 is inserted to the insert hole 17.
