Managing the Vulnerabilities of Archaeological Grey Literature: A Case Study From Tasmania

2009
This paper discusses the vulnerabilities of archaeological grey literature, including unpublished reports and non-statutory databases, to loss or corruption. The experience of managing these types of products in Tasmania, Australia, is outlined with particular reference to historical archaeological grey literature. Factors affecting long-term management and continuity are discussed and successful strategies being adopted in Tasmania to maintain these resources are indicated.
