The process of developing a city can’t be separated from history. Palembang city is one of the oldest cities in Indonesia. Therefore, this makes Palembang City has a lot of strong history. But until now, there hasn’t been an adequate and sufficiently representative place as a place to show and visualize the transformation of the city development from time to time and architecture in the city of Palembang. The museum is expected to accommodate historical information in the city of Palembang, tours about the history and development of the city and architecture, as well as a variety of informative, educative and creative activities with interesting and interactive presentations and visualizations in the form of pictures and videos (2D) and scale model (maquette) (3D) of iconic buildings. The Museum of Urban Development and Architecture in Palembang is located in the center of the city, This museum is designed by applying the theme of Contemporary Architecture. Whereas on the inside of the museum, the approach to space is applied as a visual with radial patterns, so that visitors can enjoy the aesthetics value in the architectural works displayed and all works exhibited.
