Study on salt-alkali tolerance of 19 alfalfa varieties

The salt-alkali tolerance of 19 alfalfa varieties were studied in laboratory and a field.The lab experiment indicated the germination energy and germination rates of West-Giant,WL232,32IQ,and DAFUHAO were higher than others,tolerance to single salt of WL232,Aergang-Jin,Aergang-Jin BT,FEINAER and 32IQ was greater than others.The field experiment showed there were no differences between plants number of each variety.Additionally,germination rate in laboratory was positive correlated with plant number in field.In conclusion,the strong tolerance varieties were West-Giant,LIANGMU2's,and WL324.
