The trade flows of Brazil and Australia characterize these countries as major exporters of food and animal protein in the world meat trade context. Thus, this article aimed to analyze the competitiveness of the international Brazilian and Australian meat trade between 2009 and 2019. For this, we used the index of revealed comparative advantages and the concentration ratio index for meat and edible meat offal, and frozen meat of bovine animals. The main results indicated that Brazil and Australia have revealed comparative advantages for both products, with emphasis on the performance of frozen meat of bovine animals. These results verified a stronger competition and higher comparative advantages for this good in relation to meat and edible meat offal. We also observed that Brazilian and Australian exports of frozen meat of bovine animals were highly concentrated to its four main destinations. As for meat and edible meat offal, only Australia showed high concentration for its leading trading partners.
