Common Seaweed Flora of Coral Reefs in Hainan Island

This chapter on the common seaweed flora of Hainan Island contains species composition of the marine benthic flora, the complete list of marine plants found by researchers from all studies carried out, historical changes in the flora, and seasonal changes. During the period of the studies of the marine flora in Hainan Island from 1933 to 2015, a total of 526 taxa were collected, including Rhodophyta 305 taxa (or 58% of all species), Phaeophyceae 95 taxa (or 18%), and Chlorophyta 126 taxa (or 24%).
