Theoretical reflection on the work pedagogy of the oppressed: Contributions to special education

Objective: Reflect on the work of Paulo Freire: Pedagogy of the Oppressed, with a view to contributing to the learning process of young people and adults with disabilities. Method: It is an article of theoretical reflection, a qualitative approach, based on the concepts treated by Paulo Freire in the work Pedagogy of the Oppressed: Reflection, Problematization, Dialogicity, Mediatization, Awareness and Liberation. Results and Discussion: The study shows, based on Freire's work, the possibilities of working on potential areas of students, ethically, focusing on the horizontal construction between teacher and student, based on a reflective process, based on permanent education. , aiming to overcome its limitations. Final Considerations: Based on the author's thoughts, let us be taken by the desire to not give up, to remain fighting for a free and quality public education, believing that it is possible to build another more just way of life in Special Education.
