Stream Controlling Method and Apparatus for Parallel Receiving of Data

PURPOSE: A stream control method and an apparatus thereof for receiving data in parallel are provided to adaptively control the number of stream connections according to a network condition. CONSTITUTION: A parallel connection managing unit(270) includes a network congestion rate calculating unit and a connection coefficient calculating unit. The parallel connection managing unit calculates a network congestion rate by using the variation of data transmission speed. The parallel connection managing unit controls the number of stream connections based on the calculated network congestion rate. A second communication unit(210) receives the data in parallel by using the streams.
