Morality in Organizations: Social Responsibility, Social Issues, and Employees Outcomes

Stakeholders from both within and outside organizations have become increasingly concerned with socially responsible practices and organizational morality. At the same time, organizations seek to gain competitive advantages from such behavior as well as encourage moral behavior by their own employees. In this symposium, we explore the theme of fostering morality and social responsibility in organizations, examining both the antecedents and consequences of these behaviors. Altogether, the presentations demonstrate how organizations can benefit by engaging in behavior to address social issues, as well as how organizations can stimulate desired moral behavior in employees.
