Atteinte utéro-ovarienne révélatrice d'une périartérite noueuse

1992
We report the case of a 81-year old woman who was admitted because of declining general health and elevated sedimentation rate. Ovaries were both enlarged on CT-scan. Hysterectomy was performed on the basis of suspected ovarian malignancy. Histologic examination revealed necrotizing vasculitis involving fallopian tubes and uterus. Treatment consisting of high-dose corticosteroids and pulses of cyclophospamide resulted in prompt clinical and biological improvement.
