Effect of Human Exposure to Whole-Body Vibration in Transport

2018
Abstract Human beings are exposed to multiple sources of vibratory movements. Some activities of daily living favor vibration exposure, and can affect drivers, transport users, and industrial workers. However, whole-body vibration (WBV) frequencies ranging from 0.7 to 100 Hz have been reported to lead to adverse effects. The aim of this study was to establish a database to assess the effect of different WBV frequencies occurring in transport on the human physiological functions.
