Challenge government audits in Republic of Serbia

State audit in the Republic of Serbia is facing significant challenges. Its progress is taking place in an environment of weak local laws, strong political centers of resistance, an insufficient number of state auditors and unfavourable economic conditions necessary for the progress of state audit. The first report of the state auditor led to a concerned reaction of the public and a state of obvious 'chaos' in state finances.
