Protective Effects of Yiqi Huoxue Jiedu Recipe on the Function of Blood Vessel Endothelium in Spontaneous Hypertension Rats

OBJECTIVE:To study the effects of Yiqi huoxue jiedu recipe on the function of blood vessel endothelium in spontaneous hypertension rats(SHR).METHODS:24 SHR with 12-week old were randomly divided into the model group,captopril group and Yiqi huoxue jiedu recipe group.8 Wistar-Kyoto rats with same age were blank control group,the blood pressures of rats were determined before treatment by BP-6 noninvasive blood pressure detector and they were given medicine once a day for 6 weeks.Blood pressure were measured the end of first,second,forth and sixth week regularly.After 6 weeks,thromboxane-A2(TXA2),6-keto-prostaglandin(6-KPG),nitric oxide(NO),endothelin-1(ET-1),superoxide dismutase(SOD),malondialdehyde(MDA),angiotensin Ⅱ(ANG-Ⅱ) and von willebrand factor(vWF) of serum were determined respectively.RESULTS:Yiqi huoxue jiedu recipe could decrease BP,TX-A2,ET-1,MDA,ANG-Ⅱ and vWF,and increase 6-KPG and NO(P0.05 or P0.01).CONCLUSION:Yiqi huoxue jiedu recipe can decrease the BP and play the protective effect on blood vessel endothelium in SHR.
