Crecimiento en niños del Jardín Pío Jaramillo y su relación con alimentación

This work is a descriptive research which main objectives are to determine the food that children consume more frequently, their weight, height and the valuation with growth curves and finally to socialize the results of the research with the parents of the children of “Pio Jaramillo” Kindergarten as to the need to properly feed the children. The research sample was formed of 105 children between 4 and 5 years old, to whom it was inquired the weight and height in order to plot in the growth curves and enter the data to the statistical program WHO ANTRHO PLUS, furthermore it was applied a survey to the parents of the children about the type of food they consume. In the results of the research in relation to the food quality the 52% is regular and the 6,3% very good; while the consume of sweets in a 54,1% is high and the 4,2% is low. In reference of the weight of the majority of school children of 4 and 5 years old they have a normal weight, however between 10% and 16% have a low weight and the 17% of the 4 year old kids have overweight; referring to the size of 4 and 5 years old children it was determined that the 50% has a high stature, the 38% have a normal stature and the 12% have a short stature.
