Investigation of application of antibiotics in 228 patients of type I incision during perioperative period

OBJECTIVE To investigate the present situation of per operative antibiotic prophylaxis in class Ⅰincision and evaluate it s rationality.METHODS A retrospective survey on the 3 types of classⅠincision operations of 228 hospitalized patients from Nov 2009 to Oct 2010 in our hospital was carried out.The basic situation of the patient,disease diagnosis,surgical cases,medication time,medication name,dosage,etc were done by statistical analysis.RESULTS The rate of per operative antibiotic prophylaxis in classⅠincision was 100%,the frequency of antimicrobial agents usage was 2nd generation cephalosporins(87 cases),1st generation cephalosporin(42 cases),third generation cephalosporin(40 cases);the first dose of antibiotic started at 0.5-2h before surgery was 108 patients,accounting for 43.4%,while the first medication time of 35 cases was above 24 hours before surgery,after surgery the shortest antibiotic treatment was 1 d and the longest was 8 d,the average treatment time was 3.5d;single drug accounted for 69.3%,22.4% two drugs together,more than triple and the triple drug accounted for 8.3%.CONCLUSION The management of antimicrobial prophylaxis in classⅠ incision Per operative period still need to be strengthened,the choice of drugs and medication time should comply with the relevant guidelines.
