Compact Ceramic Membrane Gas Filter

A ceramic membrane filter has been developed by CeraMem Corporation which is extremely compact (540 M2/M3) and capable of operation at temperatures exceeding 1270 K. The filter has been tested in a wide range of applications such as removal of flyash from flue gas, diesel exhaust soot filtration, and filtration of hot gases produced in pressurized fluidized bed combustors (PFBC) and gasifiers. All test results have consistently demonstrated complete particulate removal, low pressure drop at typical hot gas filtration face velocities, and complete recovery of clean filter pressure drop upon backpulsing.
