Electrocardiographic and pathologic features of myocardial infarction in man

1963
Myocardial infarction is not always associated with the electrocardiographic features that are considered indicative of this lesion by present standards. Better understanding of the mechanisms of electrocardiographic alteration by infarction may make it possible to improve current diagnostic criteria. Our present observations on man supplement previous theoretic and experimental investigations of the mechanism by which localized myocardial lesions affect the electrocardiogram [1, 2].
