Effects of Scaling combined local Application of Periocline or GBR surgical therapy on Peri-implantitis

Objective:To explore the clinical treatment effects of scaling combined local application of Perio or guided bone regeneration(GBR) surgical therapy on dental implantitis.Methods:12 patients with 17 dental implants suffering from Peri-implantitis were chosen and randomly assigned to receive scaling combined application of Periocline and GBR surgical therapy.Parameters including plaque index(PLI),sulcular bleeding index(SBI) and probing depth(PD) of pockets were measured at baseline,1 months and 3 months after treatment.Results:These treatments significantly decreased PLI,SBI and PD,however the effects of the GBR can get re-osseointegration after 3 months later.Conclusions:Both these treatment were effective for dental implantitis,the GBR surgical treatment can re-osseointegrate with implant.
