ON THE DEGREE OF IONIZATION IN THE TFW THEORY

We give a simplified proof of the theorem which says that in Thomas-Fermi-Von Weizsaecker theory the surplus charge of bounded electrons cannot exceed the combined charge of the nuclei in absolute value.
