Solar Cooling Technologies - A Review

2018
Solar energy is the most fundamental form of all the renewable energies. Solar PV has been widely used nowadays for generation of power owing to the recent advancements in research and technology. The working degree of PV cellrises when it retains solar emissionbringing about reduction in photovoltaic productivity. Higher the heat of a PV module reduces the efficiency of yield power by (4/10)-(5/10) % for each of 274.15K, over its Standard Test Conditions (STC), thereby bringing about the necessity of solar cooling. Active (Dynamic) and passive (Static) cooling strategies are utilized to increase the efficiency of the panel. This paper discusses about the variouscooling methods that are employed for PV panel and also suggests which type of cooling should be preferred depending on the requirements and furthermore approach to separate the heat energy.
