ENFERMERAS E HISTORIA: RECUERDOS DEL AYER (II)

La Enfermeria ha estado presente en la Historia “siempre”. El cuidado de por si, surgio en las cavernas, con aquellos primeros hombres que nos precedieron, y que colocaron la primera piedra de nuestra civilizacion. Estos cuidados, informales en su origen que se desarrollaban en el espacio domestico, fueron dando paso a formas mucho mas elaboradas que buscaban dar solucion a los problemas de las personas, a cubrir sus necesidades, a acompanar a los que mas lo necesitaban. Porque eso si, la Enfermeria y las enfermeras siempre han estado “presentes”. Progresivamente, las ordenes religiosas asumieron una labor del cuidado prestado a los pobres y desvalidos, que en numerosas ocasiones no era bien vista por la sociedad de ese momento. Las pequenas casas de beneficencia fueron dando paso a hospitales de organizacion cada vez mas compleja bajo la proteccion de las clases dominantes.Palabras claves: cuidados, Enfermeria, enfermera, historia.   AbstractNursing has been present in history "always". Self-care arose in the caves, with those first men who preceded us, and who laid the first stone of our civilization.
