Effects on health and productivity of domestic animals by environmental conditions of floor of stall.

Foot and limb disease of sows raised for a long time on different types of floor of stall was observed,and experiments of raising growing finishing pigs were conducted.The results show that the incidence of foot and limb disease in sows raised on cement ground,discretely arranged cement board floors and simple energy saving floors is 37.7%,28.1% and 5.81% respectively.The proportion of feed and meat of the pigs living on the above mentioned 3 types of floors is 3.82∶1,3.73∶1,3.35∶1 respectively.The maintenance requirement of diet for pigs raised on simple energy saving floors is lower than those on cement ground by 27.0 kg to 36.0 kg during growing finishing period.
