Applications and Approaches for Texture Analysis and Their Modern Evolution

In this research work, we have presented a detailed study of various methods used for the texture analysis. These methods are classified as model-based methods and statistical-based methods. These methods are widely used in the field of remote sensing, document processing, automated inspection, and biomedical imaging applications. Texture plays a very prominent role in various applications related to image processing. These methods are discussed in brief in this research work.
