Comparação da fadiga muscular localizada entre atletas de Handebol e praticantes do treinamento de força verificada através de eletromiografia

2019
Objective: To compare the rate of fatigue propagation in handball athletes and active women practicing strength training. Methods: neuromuscular fatigue was analyzed through the power of lower limbs and analysis of the electromyographic activity, in continuous jumps of 30 seconds. The groups were composed of GH 16 athletes and GF 12 practitioners. For the comparisons of the groups and in the jump-related variables, the t-test was used for independent samples and the paired t-test was used in the same group. The level of significance was 5%. Results: Both groups presented a statistical decrease in the means of the variables related to power and height, when compared to the first five and the last five jumps, however, when comparing the median means of the frequency of muscle activation, it was observed that the rectus muscle femoral fatigue and the femoral biceps muscle did not reach fatigue indices in both groups. However, when analyzing the vastus lateralis muscle, it was observed that fatigue was established only in the group of handball athletes. As for the gastrocnemius muscle, fatigue was established only in the group that underwent strength training. Final considerations: The values of heel height and power of lower limbs are affected by the fatigue evaluated by the test, in both groups. On the electromyographic activity, it was concluded that the muscles behaved differently.
