High power He‐Cd+ white light laser

The new structure of hollow cathode He‐Cd+ white light laser was investigated. It was improved from a flute type and experiments on the laser tube of 61 cm in length and 4 mm in bore diameter were made. As a result, three colors, red, green, and blue, were oscillated simultaneously. The total output power was 194.2 mW at an anode current of 2A and the oscillation efficiency was 0.032%. The noise levels in rms between 10 Hz and 10 MHz were 0.086%, 0.096%, and 0.066% for red, green, and blue, respectively.
