Ultra-wideband and Low-profile Absorber with Polarization-insensitive and Wide-angle Properties

One kind of ultra-wideband and low-profile absorber is presented based on resistive films. Three layers of resistive films are designed to realize ultra-wideband by three resonant modes. Simulation has been done to verify the proposed design. The operating bandwidth is from 2GHz to 18 GHz with the absorptivity more than 90%. The thickness is 6.95mm, corresponding to 0.047λ at the lowest frequency. In addition, the proposed absorber shows good polarization-insensitive and wide-angle properties for different incident angle waves, which can be widely applied in EMI and EMC fields.
