Hot Deformation Characteristics of GH141 Superalloy

The deformation behavior and evolution process of dynamic recrystallization(DRX) for GH141 superalloy were studied by isothermal compression test in the temperature range of 1120~1170℃ and the strain rate range of 0.1 ~0.01 s-1.The effect of thermomechanical parameters on flow stress was analyzed.A constitutive relationship based on the Arrhenius equation for GH141 superalloy was proposed.The initiation and evolution of DRX were investigated with quantitive microstructure analysis.The volume fraction and grain size of DRX as a function of Zener-Hollomon parameter were established.It was found that the calculation results of the proposed model agreed well with the experimental data.Therefore,the proposed model can lay foundation for quality control and process design of GH141 superalloy forging.
