A method for transporting crude oil and naphtha with a crude oil conveying device, and a method for transferring from the transport device of the crude oil and naphtha.

2002
Crude oil (2) is unloaded from a transport tank (11), which is then washed and loaded with naphtha (3). Upon arrival of the crude oil/naphtha transport means at its destination, the crude oil is unloaded, followed by the naphtha. Transporting naphtha using a means for transporting crude oil comprises: (a) allocating at least one tank for the transport of naphtha; (b) removing crude oil from this tank; (c) washing the inside of the tank before loading with naphtha; (d) removing crude oil from at least one pipe on the crude oil transport means; (e) loading the naphtha into the tank; (f) transporting the naphtha to its destination; (g) unloading any crude oil; and (h) unloading the naphtha. An independent claim is also included for a second process for transporting naphtha and crude oil via a single transport means and transferring the naphtha and crude oil from transport tanks to storage tanks (4, 6) at the destination using a single pipeline (53).
