SYNTHESIS AND FUNCTIONALIZATION OF THE PYRAZOLO [3,4-b]PYRIDIN-3-ONES RESEARCH OF THE SEROTONINERGIC ACTIVITY

A convenient route to the synthesis of pyrazolo[3,4-b]pyridin-3-ones via condensation of 3- amino-1-phenylpyrazolin-5-one with 4-hydroxy-6-methylpyran-2-one. The isomeric pyrazolo[3,4-b]pyridin-3-ones obtained are functionalized in position 4 or 6 by aliphatic and aromatic amines, on the other hand position 1 of another derivative pyrazolopyridinic was functionalized by a synthetic grouping. The serotoninergic activity of the various compounds obtained was also examined and discussed.
