Level and structure of primary disability of adult population in subjects of Russian Federation is characterised by a considerable variety. The level of primary disability of adult population owing to diseases of bodies of digestion in Nizhniy Novgorod area is one of the lowest in the country. This article presents the research results of level and structure of primary disability of adult population owing to diseases of bodies of digestion in Nizhniy Novgorod area for 17 years (1993-2009).
