Chimera States in two coupled ensembles of Henon and Lozi maps. Controlling chimera states

In this work we explore numerically the dynamics of two coupled one-dimensional ensembles: an ensemble of Henon maps and an ensemble of Lozi maps. Both networks are considered under conditions of nonlocal coupling. The ensemble of Lozi maps is characterized by a hyperbolic attractor of the individual elements, while the ensemble of Henon maps – by a nonhyperbolic attractor. We reveal the features of realizing chimera states in the coupled system, which are caused by mutual influence of two ensembles with fundamentally different dynamics without coupling.
