On Non-Ideal and Nonlinear Vibrations of a Shaft Carrying a Disk through Main Resonance

The transverse Non-ideal and nonlinear vibrations of a shaft carryinga an unbalanced disk are analyzed. We suppose that only one natural frequency is related to the two coordinates of the vibrating system (due to the symmetry of the shaft section), so that, with the equation governing the interaction with the energy source( non-ideal), there will be three differential equations of motion for the considered dynamical system. Good agreements between both numerical and analytical solutions were observed.
