2010
Introduction A total of 298 species and subspecies in 53 genera of the subfamilies Vespinae, Polistinae, Eumeninae, and Masarinae have been recorded from Turkey. Of them, 65 species and subspecies, comprising 22% of Turkish vespids, are endemic. Furthermore three genera, 71 species and 16 subspecies of Vespidae have been described from Turkey (YILDIRIM 2012; YILDIRIM & GUSENLEITNER 2012). Separately, GUSENLEITNER (2012), Celonites tenebricosus from Hakkari, and YILDIRIM (2014) Onychopterocheilus sarikamisensis (YILDIRIM, 2014) from Kars (Sarikamis) described in Turkey. In this study, the present situation of Vespidae species and subspecies of Turkey were evaluated. Including the new taxa determined in this study a total of 301 species and subspecies belonged to 53 genera from family Vespidae were recorded from Turkey up to now. The aim of this paper is to bring new collect and biological data on Vespidae in Turkey. Materials and Methods The material of the Vespidae was collected from different localities of Turkey in 19992014. Provinces of the collected specimens are given in alphabetical order in the following list. The material is deposited in the Entomology Museum, Erzurum, Turkey (EMET). © Biologiezentrum Linz, download www.zobodat.at
