Semiconductor superlattices used as flat-response energy filters

2000
The use of semiconductor superlattices as energy filters has been recently proposed. Basically, an heterostructure made of wells and barriers with a potential modulated by a Gaussian envelope is employed. In this paper we investigate how to further Improve the passband response of such filters modulating the potential of the structure with different (non-Gaussian) envelope functions.
