Laser hardening of components and tools with complicated working elements shape for heattransfer

The peculiarites of laser hardening of machine components and tools which have wedge working elements with different sharpness angles are described. The results of complex theoretical and experimental study of the heattransfer processes at different conditions of hardening components of specific shape with CW CO2 laser radiation are shown. The methodology to choose processing parameters to get the hardened layers of the given quality and dimensions are presented.
