At present the Gastric Bypass (GB), is the surgical technique more frequently realized, for treatment of the morbid obesity. Some surgeons add to the gastric pouch a ring of different materials, with the purpose of maintaining the rate of the lost overweight, for longer period of time. However; besides adding a higher complexity to the technique, it can generate a higher morbidity. The inclusion of the ring in the pouch is an uncommon complication. We report a 35 year-old woman who developed inclusion of ring into the stomach pouch. The patient presented picture clinic of the intestinal occlusion. The diagnosis was made by endoscope. The patient required surgery for resolution of symptoms after failure of the endoscopic treatment.
